Locate-A-Church.com, as the name explains its purpose is to provide a place where visitors can come and can search for various religious institutions across the world.
There are a number of websites designed to host
religious institutions and/or serve as a portal for their corresponding
websites of certain religious denominations. However, no website exist with a
scope broad enough to handle all spiritual houses across all denominations from
coast-to-coast while providing detailed information on operations. While the
information is freely available, it is often fragmented and incomplete. While
many websites offer a specific group of institutions free web-hosting services,
it is usually a specific denomination and/or geographical area. But, the major
problem of virtually all spiritual portals/hosting sites is that they rely on
the institution to contact them in order to establish their relationship and
build their information base.
The Locate-A-Church.com approach is different. The Locate-A-Church.com model is built on the
belief that the more complete the information base is, the better the website.
A great deal of time, effort and research has gone into collecting the
information about all the various houses from coast-to-coast regardless of who
or where they are.
The purpose of Locate-A-Church.com is not to compete for the honor of hosting a
spiritual house's web service. Our position is to compliment the existing web
services by acting as a hub for the various users and organizations. In
essence, Locate-A-Church.com is intended to be the supreme matchmaker guide between web
surfers and their prospective spiritual home match.
